Dear Music Making Families:
It's that time of the semester where we start thinking about what we value in gathering together to make music each week. For us teachers, I speak for Gina, *Savannah, and I in how much joy you bring to our lives. And we want to extend that joy in your lives thoughout the week in all the ways that music makes life and learning better.
So this week I'm including a couple of excellent podcast links that buttress what we try to achieve in class each week. That of giving you tools, ideas, songs, chants, and creative ways of making them fit your family's everyday needs. Like changing a diaper, putting on shoes, and more.
*Newly trained teacher Savannah took an unfortunate tumble on the Friday the snow arrived. She sustained a compound fracture so you won't likely be seeing her in class or leading class for a while. If you would like to extend sympathy and encouragement, feel free to text as she recovers and heals.
We have run out of room in all but one of our classes this semester. Spring pre-registration for returning families opens Feb 10th. (Returning families will be able to use a coupon code to save in the spring.) Prices will increase during the General Registration Period beginning Feb 24th.
Inclement Weather:
We follow Oak Ridge School District. Should Oak Ridge Public Schools close due to inclement weather, our classes will be cancelled as well. Use your best judgment if schools in the surrounding area close, but Oak Ridge Schools are open. Feel free to text Glenda or check the website or facebook page for announcements regarding weather cancellations. You'll also receive a text message if you opted in and/or email notification.
